Mistress Ess began painting her vulva as a form of therapy, exploring and reconnecting with her body and sexuality. Her work is concerned with the liberation of female eroticism and the rejection of patriarchal norms that seek to control and suppress them. She creates a safe and sacred space for self-exploration and empowerment, challenging cultural conditioning and internalized shame.
